More about me
I am an entrepreneur and lawyer based in Washington, DC. Most recently I spent five+ years as the General Counsel of Hubble°, the first direct-to-consumer contact lens brand, which is backed by some of the country’s top VCs°.
Before that I was an associate with Hogan Lovells’ leading° privacy practice, where I counseled brand-name technology and healthcare companies (and the Brooklyn Nets°!) on privacy, cybersecurity, and consumer protection issues.
The common thread across my career is that I have always been interested in high-risk, high-reward businesses that sit at the intersection of business, law, and public policy. I recently founded Waves°, a startup company that is going to transform the way antenatal and postpartum mood disorders (such as postpartum depression) are predicted, diagnosed, and treated. In my spare time (hah!), I work as a legal and business partner° to entrepreneurs and innovative companies.
I have a JD and an MBA from Georgetown, where I was an InSITE Fellow° and advised startup companies such as Naytev°. Before enrolling at Georgetown, I helped run College Forward°, a non-profit college access and persistence program in Austin, Texas, where I focused on expansion, strategic planning, and development. While in Austin I lived through what at the time were the two hottest summers ever recorded in Texas.
I played baseball° at Amherst College, and after that I spent year as a professional baseball player° in Belgium. (And yes, they play baseball in Belgium, just not very well.) I’ve also worked as an AmeriCorps*VISTA member and at a farmers’ market.
I am a Washington, DC native, and live on Capitol Hill with my family.
